concrete for christchurch

Number 8 wire is a name synonymous with Kiwi ingenuity and can-do.

How apt that Number 8 was selected as the name for a new café and bar in earthquake-damage Christchurch (NZ). Number 8 is styled as a ‘Kiwi Café’ and located in the recently refurbished Christchurch International Airport.

As a quintessential Kiwi experience, local design house Redesign Group, looked to Muros Roughcast Concrete wall panels to add a raw and real element. The roughcast concrete style complemented the wooden design and simple clean styling.

Three Muros Roughcast Concrete wall panels were used. Cut and installed around the customer-facing counter-areas, the concrete walls provide a stand-out feature. Installation was completed by a local building company.

Muros offers concrete wall panels in both horizontal and vertical formats. Stony seams, natural cracks, uneven form lines and a natural wall contour provide a very realistic wall finish.
