adding ambience to queenstown dining

After months of remodelling new Queenstown eatery, Public Kitchen & Bar, threw its doors wide open. Owners, Jan and Alex, invited the 'public' in to experience old family recipes within a relaxing and personal environment. The result has been an instant hit!

From the outset, Jan and Alex were searching for rustic brick wall options. The brick solution would add warmth and an 'established' feel; fitting perfectly with the backdrop of Queenstown's stunning mountains and Wakatipu lakeside venue. Further still the brick wall panelsy would complement the vision of the Owners for an accessible and truly local eating establishment.

On approaching Muros to supply, wall panel quality, availability, installation and ability to view sample panels were all questions posed. Jan and Alex were satisfied and Muros Red Brick and Muros White Loft Brick wall panel styles were selected and promptly supplied directly to site in downtown Queenstown. Following an installation brief by Muros to local building company, Naylor Love, the Muros Wall Panels were professionally installed over three prominent wall sections throughout the restaurant.

The result was a combination of traditional and contemporary texture and colour… long thin red bricks and painted white loft brick merging seamlessly with iconic decor: old-style coat rack, red phone box and historical NZ artwork. Local Queenstown artist, Simon Morrison-Deaker, added his touch - Milk & Honey - on the main restaurant wall featuring Muros White Loft Brick wall panels.

For anyone in Queenstown looking for a quality local dining experience we fully recommend Public Kitchen & Bar. Go well Jan and Alex!
