Muros Wall Panels have been used successfully around the world for over 30 years in a variety of environments. Advice for exterior use can be viewed in FAQ section (see Areas of use) and in the Muros Panel Install Guide (Exterior).
Muros Wall Panels are not a cladding, and are instead used regularly as an exterior decorative finish.
The majority of external installations involve some form of canopy, veranda or entrance to residences or commercial premises. Although many are open to the weather elements. Examples of external applications include commercial facias, apartments, carparks, gardens, entrances and restaurants fronts.
The Gaiker Aging Report concludes following moisture, heat and UV tests on Muros Wall Panels: Aging applied does not affect the mechanical performance of material.
Panels are lightweight, strong, robust and durable. Panel properties include resistance to fire, water, erosion and ultra-violet light. That said, we advise use in external environments that there may be some fade over time (years) due to the high UV in the southern hemisphere. In the event of panel colour fading over an extended period panels can be repainted (normal painting guidelines apply).
Application and construction requirements will determine the type of installation technique used.
