Add creative flare and bespoke vision by transforming Muros textured walls using paint, plaster or promotional pictures. Authentic Muros Wall Panels by themselves can create character filled grandeur or contemporary excitement. Simply select from the extensive Muros designs and colours. To further enhance and individualise a space, apply ‘wall finishes’ or ‘wall art’ to installed wall panels to add so much more.

Brand build with return on investment

Business is always looking for ‘more bang for buck’ – so it is not surprising the best companies seek to inspire their customers and staff with dynamic commercial fit-outs. Such statements say something about who they are and what they stand for. Of course, the fit-out needs to deliver a return on investment so it fast becomes a strategic asset, rather than just interior decor. Yet another avenue for decision-makers to market to their customers and resonate with staff.

Expleo…living the brand

Pictured below the family-run retail butchery, Expleo live and breath their brand. Put simple, they care. For instance their proposition is quality and friendly service for their range of traditional and gourmet handmade meats. Working collaboratively with the owners, design studio Alexandra Images specified Muros Burnt Red Loft Brick wall panels to provide a ‘canvas for creativity’. As a result an aged distressed brick effect was applied over the installed wall panels, and then lit signage added.

Confidence from European panels

Muros decorative wall panels have a proven history as an authentic veneer wall substitute for real concrete, brick, stone and wood. The panels are used worldwide in many commercial settings, and extensively throughout NZ and Australia over the past decade. So ‘life like’ Muros is often overlooked as a wall panel entirely. Blending into the environment and fulfilling their purpose in lieu of natural materials – people are genuinely surprised to learn they are looking at a faux wall.

Creative finishes options

Another well-kept Muros secret is that the versatile decorative wall panels can help create unique and distinctive spaces. Muros projects involve a range of artisan techniques applied over wall panels – from painting, plastering, cementing, chalking and dusting (to distress and age panels) to graphics, signwriting, graffiti and stencilling (to personalise branding). Furthermore, individual techniques within these applications such as brush strokes, variation, colour add unique identity to ‘bring walls to life’ even more.

Imagining and crafting your own style

The opportunities are limitless with Muros providing the base texture template, surface relief or ‘canvas’ to create a masterpiece. As well as the Muros website, Google and Pinterest are useful sources for a seemingly endless of creative images to consider. Use them to help achieve an interesting and personalised relief, tailored to goals, brand or desired aesthetic.

Creative designs can be applied using a range of wall finishes – to generate feeling, emotion or action. In other words, for people to be moved in some way by the design. So there is no longer the need to choose for example between exposed brick and concrete. After all, with Muros there is the ability now to achieve the desired vision using both…texture + creativity.

Send a deeper message, often brand or profile aligned. Put design inspiration into reality and create a branding opportunity on walls like so many Muros clients.

PROJECT – Swanndri

The newly opened Westfield Newmarket shopping centre features decorative wall panels from the Muros Loft Brick range. They are extensively painted with the distinctive Swanndri red and black colours and logo.

A design driver was one of authenticity which was a perfect fit with the Swanndri values. Inherent New Zealand materials were reviewed for honesty and ability to integrate with a refined urban edge.

CLIENT – Holy Hop Bar

Holy Hop Bar in Kingsland, Auckland utilised a stunning (and somewhat controversial) graphic design of a nun as a play on its name. The painted graphic demonstrated the versatility of Mujros loft Brick wall panels to be painted.

PROJECT – Lion Breweries

The Lion HQ offices in Freemans Bay offer a unique workspace with striking graffiti of Wonder Woman alongside their beer bottles.

Further distressing or ageing walls is a popular application. It creates an established surrounding reminiscent of years past. Muros Wall Panels inherently contain subtle authentic imperfections depending on design – nicks, chips, cracks, timber form lines, patches, air-pockets, stony seams, and elements of natural wear and ageing. It’s certainly not a cookie-cutter mould.

With technology advances and artistry, wall finishes like paint washing or cement plastering are increasing creative options – helping Designers, Architects and Clients to realise their vision and further break the uniformity of feature walls.
